Milo "Mike" Christopherson was born in Hardin County Iowa the second child of Alfred and Maggie Christopherson. He grew up in Hardin and Story counties with four of his six siblings. The family lost two girls, Mina at almost six years old and Louise Irene at about eight years old.

He and Gladys Donelson were married on December 31, 1939.
They were blessed with five children: Allen, Diane, Jo Ann, Nancy and Jeffry.

Mike spent many years with Freuhauf trailers in Des Moines as a salesman. He also had an interest in wood working. After retirement, he and Gladys spent many years striping and refinishing antiques and creating their own treasures for their family, friends and others through their home shop known as Mike's Sawdust Shop.

He volunteered many hours with the Kiwanis Club and his church in Ankeny, IA.

Mike enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren at family gatherings and holidays.
He and Gladys celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in December 1989 with their family and many friends.

Mike passed away in August 1998 after battling cancer the last couple years before his passing. He has been missed each and every day by his family and friends.

As of May 2021, he is survived by five children, nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandsons.
We love and miss you so much Grandpa.
