William Randle "Randy" Compton, fought a long, brave battle with head and neck cancer, and was called home to rest on Friday, October 2, 2015. Visitation will be at Wayne Boze Funeral home. Services to celebrate his life will be at the Cowboy Church of Ellis County, with burial to follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.

Adoptive Parents: uncle and aunt, P.W. & Mable (Compton) Watson

Education: 1972 graduate of Italy High School; also attended Hill Junior College

Married: Vicki Kay Rudd
Date Married: September 20, 1974, at First Baptist Church of Italy

Work History: Tyler Refrigeration where he remained for over 33 years until they closed their doors in 2006; Cowboy Church of Ellis County in 2006 as custodian taking care of the buildings

Member Of: the Italy Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years, serving many years as the chief

Interests: president of the South Ellis County Little League for many years and coached baseball. He also coached peewee football and girls’ softball

Church Affiliation: First Baptist Church of Italy; Cowboy Church of Ellis County in 2003

Preceded in death by: his mother, Billie Jean Davis Brennan; and his adoptive parents, PW and Mable Watson; father-in-law, Charles Rudd; and brother-in-law, Sam Roberts

Survivors include: his wife of over 41 years, Vicki; daughters, Brandy Compton Ramirez, of Waxahachie, and Rachel Compton Lemire and husband, Rob, of Waxahachie; former son-in-law, Frank Ramirez, of Waxahachie; grandchildren: Rebecca and Alyssa Ramirez, Robert, Leslie, Dustin, Drake, Jesse, and Navaeh Lemire; great-grandchild, Ellie Faith Lemire; father and step-mother, W.A. and Helen Compton, of Irving; his in-laws, RH and Jan Roberts, of Navarro Mills, and Janice Rudd, of Palestine; and a multitude other relatives and friends.
