"Mr. and Mrs. Hudson Note 70th Wedding Anniversary:
Mr. and Mrs. James Hudson observed their 70th wedding anniversary yesterday in very good health, which was the reason for one of their sons not joining in the celebration.
The Hudsons have suffered no major ailments for some time now and David Edward Hudson, who had a cold, feared he would expose his parents to it.
The Hudsons and three of their children enjoyed a dinner at the Hudson home about six miles from the city on Barren River Road. Sunday was also Hudson's 90th birthday. Mrs. Hudson was 90 Saturday.
A retired farmer, Hudson has been totally blind for about a year now and was partially blind for about five years from cataracts. Mrs. Hudson enjoys quilting and sewing without glasses.
Mr. Hudson's half-sister, Mrs. Ruthie Hunton, has lived with them for 10 years and does the housekeeping chores.
Natives of Logan County, the couple was married in Tennessee and moved here about 54 years ago. Mrs. Hudson is the former Sally Kincade.
They have five living children, Mrs. Gilbert Kinser of the Barren River Road; Howard Scott(should say Mrs. Howard Scott), Glen Lily Road; Ray Hudson of 162 Butler Ave., who is temporarialy working in Oneida, Tenn.; Elvis Hudson, Barren River Road, and David Edward Hudson, 817 Oak St.
They are parents of twin daughters who died at infancy, and the late Mrs. Chester Howell of the Richardsville Road, and Mrs. Milliken Miller of Indianapolis, Ind., also deceased.
They have 20 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren."

Bowling Green KY., Oct. 20:
"Milestones will pass this week for Mr. and Mrs. James Hudson. But, aside from some special requests, they plan nothing special to mark the anniversaries.
Hudson, who is blind, would like a cap, ear muffs, and a sweater. His wife wants a new print dress.
They will observe their 72d wedding anniversary Tuesday. Mrs. Hudson will be 92 years old that day. Her husband will become 92 Wednesday.
They live on a Warren County farm about six miles north of Bowling Green."
