Dorrick J. Bushorr, a former resident of Rockton, died at Herrington, Kan., on July 17th. The remains were brought to Rockton for burial. The Masons took charge of the remains on their arrival last Saturday morning. Burial took place in the Rockton cemetery Saturday afternoon and the Rockton Masonic lodge conducted services at the grave. The remains were accompanied by a daughter, Mrs. Lena Patton, of Herrington, and brother, C. Bushorr and Mrs. Mita Bushorr, of Shawnee, Okla.
Mr. Bushorr came to Rockton from Vermont and after a residence in Rockton moved west where he made his home. He was well-known in Masonic circles as he joined the Masonic order in 1886 at Lincoln, Kan. He was W.M. of Lincoln lodge No. 154 in 1891. He demitted from this lodge and affiliated with Galena Lodge, No. 194, at Galena, Kan., and served as W.M. from 1898 to 1900. He was D.D.G.M. in 1912 and assistant lecturer in 1898.
Willis Scofield and Miss Elma Scofield of Janesville and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Grover and Mr. and Mrs. Grover Clover also attended the funeral services.
