Abraham, Constance

September 27, 2015 at the age of 90 years. Wife of William, mother of William (Linda) and Richard (Erin), grandmother of Rick (Ruth), Heidi, Marlena and Katherine and great-grandmother of Annabelle.

Constance “Connie”, came to the United States from Wales with her mother and three sisters, Vera, Vernace and Doreen to rendezvous with their father who had come earlier for work. They settled in Chicago where Connie eventually attended Lindbloom High School where she met four girlfriends, Jackie, Virginia, Maxine and Julie and they have remained close, lifelong friends. Connie also met William “Bill whom she dated through high school, then waited as he was deployed to the Pacific theatre in WW2. Upon his return they were married in 1947, and have been married for 68 years.

She saw her calling in life as a mother, and volunteered at the schools and church and local hospital. She was also a great sister and friend, staying close and involved as loved ones weakened and passed. She was a “giver” in the most Christian tradition, and her mind was always on others and rarely on herself. Those who knew her loved her for her keen sense of humor, her profound insight into others’ emotions and her positive feelings about everyone around her. She was a beautiful person in every sense of the word.

Visitation Thursday October 1 from 10:00AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00Noon at Lumen Christi Parish, 2700 W. Mequon Rd. Private family interment Lumen Christi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Children Hospital of WI Foundation appreciated.
