November 11, 1948 - September 16, 2015
William Harry Bloodworth, “Billy”, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 16th, 2015 after 66 years of preparation. A memorial service will be held to honor his life at 11 am Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Cypress Valley Bible Church, Marshall, Texas.
Billy was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on November 11th, 1948 to Harry Bloodworth and Pansy White Bloodworth. He was the third child of nine.
Early in life, Billy loved the outdoors and lived life to the fullest. He was a golden-gloves boxing champion, a record-breaking swimmer, an amazing hunter and fisherman, and built friendships that would last and thrive for more than six decades.
For the last 23 years, Billy has put the love of his life, Karen Ann Donahue Bloodworth, second only to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Billy is survived by his two sons William and Michael, their lovely wives Julie and Stephanie, and six beautiful grandchildren Bailee, Avrie, Logan, Lilly, Kamryn, and Jacob.
Billy was a very intelligent, handsome man, a loving husband, a loyal friend, and a supportive father. His church family at Cypress Valley Bible Church loved him dearly. He was a brilliant dancer, the life of the party, a hard-working man with an unsurpassable work ethic, and one who was always “raising the bar” in every situation.
“Great Success REQUIRES Great Effort” describes him definitively.
He will be greatly missed by many and received with open arms in heaven.
