Rev. Gore was formerly employed with Holsum Bread Co., CB Drug Co. and Weatherau Food amd Drug. He also pastored several churches in Columbus, Bladen and Horry counties for more than fifty years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Magalene Ward Gore; his son, Daniel Lawson Gore and daughter, Linda Gore Floyd.
He is survived by a son, Ralph “Dean” Gore and wife, Jackie of Whiteville; grandchildren, Crystal Gore of Whiteville, Scott S. Floyd of Whiteville, Amy Brown of Wilmington, Allison Brown of Conway, SC, Tiffani Borgers of Michigan, Tori Wilson of Lake Waccamaw and Natasha Gore of Whiteville; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Maurice Gore and Wilbert Gore; a sister Lucy Gore of Fair Bluff.
His funeral will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church. Entombment will be in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park Mausoleum.
