Emily Rebecca Parks, 17, of Coolidge died on Aug. 26, 2015.

A private service was held.

Ms. Parks was born on May 27, 1998. She was a student and a varsity cheerleader at Coolidge High School. She also was on the track team, competing in shot put and discus. An honor student, she was planning to study business in college with dreams of opening a nail salon. She was a member of Coolidge Church of the Nazarene.

She enjoyed drawing and helping her family and friends. She was always willing to listen and help out wherever she was needed.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Ginger Parks and Luis Arias of Coolidge; her father, Brian Wallace; two brothers, Cameron Rowe and Denzel Wallace; four sisters, MaKayla Parks, Alisha, Alexis and Aleyah Wallace; and grandparents, Jayne and David Shankle of Baltimore, Dan Parks of Houston, Delaware, and Vernon and Elizabeth Wallace of Alexandria, Virginia. She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Rebecca Parks and Perry and Marilyn Iler.
