Appeal Democrat, August 11, 1967, Page 22: Area Native Dies In Butte. Allen Jasper Stohlman, 72, died in his Gridley home today. A native of Noyesburg in Sutter County, he had lived in the Gridley area for 51 years. He was a retired Union Oil Co. distributor and had been ill for about four months. He was an honorary life member of the Gridley Lions Club.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, Edith of Gridley, include: three sons, Charles, William and Gerald of Gridley; a daughter, Genevieve Hamilton of Sacramento; two sisters, Analena Sears of San Francisco and Alta Welter of Sacramento; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Gridley Funeral Chapel by Rev. David L. Tritenbach of the First Presbyterian Church.
