TRENTON---Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Methodist Church here for Charles Burgher Reed, 48, prominent farmer, cattleman and native of Trenton, who died Saturday at a Greenville hospital following a week's illness.
The Rev. E. B. Jackson, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiated at the services, assisted by the Rev. Roy Patton of Kaufman.
Prominent in activities of the Masonic Blue Lodge, Mr. Reed served as district deputy grand master.
He was born Dec. 5, 1897, at Trenton, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Y. B. Reed. He and Miss Lucille Morrow were married here Aug. 19, 1916. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Estes of Bonham; a son, Y. D. Reed; his mother, a brother, Raymond Reed; two sisters, Mrs. Euline Shaw and Mrs. James M. Butler, all of Trenton.
