Catherine Margaret Hinkel, 76, of Milan, Illinois, died at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at Moline Lutheran Hospital, Moline, Illinois.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 29, at 9:30 a.m. at Larson Funeral Home, Milan, and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan. Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. The Rosary was recited at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, at the funeral home.

Catherine was born in Dubuque, Iowa. She married John Henry Hinkel on February 15, 1904, in Dubuque, Iowa.

She was survived by her husband; three sons, John J., George P. and Frank M., all of Dubuque, Iowa; four daughters, Mrs. Frank G. (Martha M.) Wild, Dubuque, Mrs. Arthur F. (Marie K.) Gravitt, Mrs. Wilbert R. (Margaret M.) Parker and Mrs. William E. (Cecilia A.) Hamor, all of Coal Valley, Illinois; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Behnke and Mrs. Mary Kearney, both of Dubuque.
