Mrs. Sarah Jane Kaser, 80, daughter of a pioneer Clinton county family, passed away at 2 o'clock Thursady afternoon of a heart ailment after an illness of two years. She had been bedfast three weeks.
She was born north of Frankfort Feb 20, 1860, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth J. (Squire) Armantrout, and was married Oct 4, 1883 to Aaron Hiram Kaser. She resided on a farm four miles north of Frankfort until her husband retired 28 years ago and they move to Frankfort. At the time of her death she lived at 408 East Barner street.
She was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran church, after moving to Frankfort she attended the First Methodist church.
Surviors include two sisters, Mrs. Letha Leader of Frankfort and Mrs. Mattie Watson of Ovid, Mich.; a niece, Mrs. Carl Elliot of Frankfort and a nephew, Howard Kaser of Detroit, both of whom were reared in the Kaser home, and other nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Aughe & Son funeral home, South Jackson street, after 7 o'clock Friday evening.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the St. Luke church with Rev. George Schroyer of Camden officiating. Burial will be in the St. Luke cemetery.
