Alvah E. Hatfield

Alvah Earl Hatfield, 73, of Shamrock Mobile Home Park, Rt. 7, Warsaw, a former employee of Little Crow Foods, died at 2:39 pm Tuesday at Kosciusko Community Hospital. A native of Palestine, he was born July 18, 1904 to Burton and Aurel (Secor) Hatfield, and was a lifetime resident of the Warsaw area. Aug. 29, 1954 he was united in marriage to the former Helen Foulke Holzhauser. She survives. Hatfield was a charter member of Eagles Lodge no. 1339. In addition to his widow, Helen, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Claude (Shirley) Smith, Warsaw, four grandchildren, two brothers, Jessie and Eugene Hatfield, both of Warsaw, and five sisters. Mrs. Lillian Witham, Atwood, Mrs. Dan (Pearl) Cerles, Mishawaka, Mrs. James (Inez) Scott, Palestine, Mrs. Dorothy Clark and Mrs. James (Evelyn) Hyde, both of Warsaw. Four brothers preceded him in death. Services will be conducted at 1:30 pm Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Home where friends my call from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday, and until the hour of the service on Friday. Interment will follow in the Palestine cemetery.
