Benjamin Franklin Brackney, aged 76, died this morning at 2 o'clock at the home of his son, Lewis Brackney, in Clemons, after an extended illness with stomach trouble, caused by old age. He has lived in Marshall County since 1881. He leaves six children - Albert, Lewis and Aaron Brackney, of Clemons; James of Canby, Minnesota; Calvin of Fonda and Anna (Mrs John) Grimes of Badger. The funeral will likely occur from the Lewis Brackney home Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock with interment at Clemons Cemetery.
