Roberta Mae Bacon was born to Fay Tillman Bacon and Faye Attie Love Bacon on March 30th , 1931 in Glendon, Iowa. She also joined her Sisters Rosy Isabella and Ruth and brothers Robert Lee , Raymond James , and Ronald Dean all of who were at home when she was born. Roberta's adopted Siblings are Diane Thomas, Norma Kilmer. Roberta later married James B. Stroup Jr. To this union was born Linda Sue in 1953, Twins Donna and Darla who were later adopted out by the local Game Warden from Guthrie Center, Iowa, and Debra Lynn who was also later adopted by Dayton and Ruth Roberts. Roberta also had an older son named Gene Roy Bacon from Roy Hurd on November 15,1950. She later was married to Glen Pike on March 15,1959 in Missouri and to this Union two children were born Laura Kay Pike and Ronnie Glen Pike. Roberta stayed married to Glen Pike until the time of his death in 1981. Roberta also later married Robert Tilley and divorced him 4 years later. She was a homemaker, a Cook for Perry schools for six years, she and her husband Glen Pike also lived and worked a Farm outside of rural Perry, Iowa for a number of years as well. She was a grandmother to these children Donnie Lee Madison Jr., MeLinda Madison-Millard, Tracy Lee Tyrrell, Jr Grapp, Christine Stydel, Mary Ann Williams, Nicole Mae Jordan, Misty Winfield, Daughters in law Kathy Alexander--Tyrrell ( Gene Roy Bacon), Gayle Pike ( Ronnie Glen Pike), Tina Marie Stroup ( Amos Stroup step son), Vivian Stroup ( Dwayne Stroup step son), Step Children Barb Stroup ( Johnny Herron), Helen Hodges ( Jesse Hodges, Charity Stroup. Roberta loved to fish, knit, bake homemade bread and noodles, NASCAR, The Iowa Hawkeyes, and her family and closest friends. There are many more family members and friends who are left to remember Roberta. She is the Great Grandmother to Glen Roy Lee Madison, Dakota Sawhill and Gabby Sawhill, and the Grandmother to Charlie Glen Pike.
