Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Cross Creek Community Church for Richard C. Abel, 53, of Hokes Bluff, who passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013. Pastor Chris Walker will officiate. Burial will follow in Crestwood Cemetery. Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home & Cremation Service is in charge.
Mr. Abel was an active member and musician at Cross Creek Community Church. He was a very talented and accomplished musician and also worked as a DJ and a computer technician. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Mary Eva Abel; grandparents, Al and Pauline Abel, Robert Cobb and Carry Walker Lee.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Abel; brother, Larry Abel and family, Winchester, Tenn.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Curl, Chase Abel and Byron Cassidy.
