Nola Fox Beaver, age 85, of Burnsville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 9th, 2015 at Mission Memorial Campus. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Saul and Carrie Johnson Fox. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Nola loved the Lord, her church, her family and all people. She enjoyed cooking and taking walks outside.

Surviving is her loving and devoted husband of 71 years, Rev. James Beaver; daughter, Shirley Sedlak and husband, Paul, of Marshall; sons: Ransom Beaver and wife, Patsy, of Valdese, Jehu Beaver of Burnsville, Marlin Beaver also of Burnsville and Philip Beaver of Vadese; sister, Ollie Laws and husband, Lloyd, of Burnsville; grandchildren: Kelly Melton, Shane Beaver, Ashley Propst, Amanda Beaver and Bobby Caldwell; great-grandchildren: Tanner Melton, Hunter Caldwell, Abigail Coralynn, Aryn Beaver and Hunter Hyler. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12th in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday in Victory Baptist Church in Avery County. Rev. Ronnie Trivette and Rev. Bradley Boone will officiate. Burial will follow in the Beaver Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Yancey County at 856 Georges Fork Road, Burnsville, NC 28714.
