Mrs. J. Abate Summoned by Death Today
Mother of Eight Children Is Taken After But a Very Brief Illness

Mrs. Louise Abate, beloved wife of Jules Abate, and the mother of eight young children, was summoned by death at 12:45 o'clock this morning at a local hospital.

Her untimely demise occurred just two days after that of an infant son born at the family residence at 549 Levee street, Wednesday afternoon.

The death of Mrs. Abate came as a shock, and brought profound sorrow to members of her family and many acquaintances throughout the community. She had lived in Napa practically her entire lifetime.

The deceased was a native of Italy, and was 38 years of age.

Besides her grief-stricken husband, she leaves the following children: Julia, George, Charles, Mary, William, Elvy, Louis and Valentino Abate. She also leaves her mother and father, Mrs. Jennie Ciapusci of El Cerrito and Noe Ciapusci of Italy, and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Josie Cremonini of San Francisco, Mrs. Charles Ratto of Napa, Mrs. Henry Molino of El Cerrito, Mrs. Paul Hill of San Francisco, Mrs. Leno Copsey of Stockton, Mrs. Bertha Alciati of San Francisco, and George Ciapusci of El Cerrito.

The remains are at the Webber Funeral Parlors in Napa.

The Rosary will be recited at Webber's at eight o'clock Sunday night. Funeral services will be held at St. John's Catholic Church at 9:30 o'clock Monday morning, the cortege leaving for the church at 9.15 a.m.
