A member of the Hungarian Nippon Society, he signed the Trianon Peace Treaty in Paris after World War I on June 4, 1920, in which Hungary lost a great deal of land mast. In 1920, during a very unstable government, he served as acting Minister of the Interior and acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, besides being the Prime Minister. He was a member of the Christian Right. By profession, he was a lawyer. He married and had three children.
