Patricia R. Burns, 86 passed away peacefully on Friday, July 26, 2013 at her residence in Warrenton. She was born on January 14, 1927 in Washington, DC the daughter of Charles and Mary Bibb Mackey. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by siblings Charles M. Mackey and Jeanne M. Browning.

"Patricia grew up in Arlington and graduated from Washington and Lee High School in 1944. Patricia and Robert wed in 1947 and raised their children in Falls Church and Annandale. Pat worked as a secretary, Sunday School teacher and tap dance instructor. She served as President of the Pinecrest Garden Club. Pat also was a tour guide and usher at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for 27 years before retiring. She and Robert relocated to Warrenton in 2008".

She is survived by her loving husband Robert S. Burns, children Douglas A. Burns and Laurie B. Feagan all of Warrenton, grandchildren Matthew Burns, Bealeton, VA, Melanie Burns Morton, Springfield, VA and Colleen Feagan, Warrenton, VA and great grandchildren Dylan A. and Alexandra P. Burns both of Bealeton, VA.

The family will receive friends from 3-4PM Friday, August 2, 2013 at Moser Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of her Life by the family at 4PM.

In lieu of flowers please make memorials to Hospice of the Rapidan, P.O. Box 1715, Culpeper, VA 22701.
