Services for Harry J. Michael, 80, Camden, were held at 10 a.m. Monday 7/24/2006 in Gundrum Funeral Home. He died at 2:38 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2006, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. Born, May 3, 1926, in Carroll County, he was the son of William and Eva Shanks Michael. He was married Dec. 18, 1946, in Young America, to Kathleen Appleton, who survives. Harry attended Delphi High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II. He was a member of Clymers United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #60, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3790 and Odd Fellows Lodge #28. Harry enjoyed golf, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are two sons, Gary Michael and his wife, Lynn, and Bill Michael and his wife, Nancy, all of Camden; granddaughter, Shelley Edmondson and her husband, Jeff, Terre Haute; grandsons, Greg Michael and his wife, Maggie, Rossville, Brad Michael and his wife, Amie, Greenwood, Ryan Michael, Fishers, and Kris Michael and his wife, Amy, Fishers; and eight great-grandchildren. The Rev. Chris Roberts will officiate at the services. Burial, with full military graveside rites, will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Logansport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clymers United Methodist Church
