68 year old Danny Smith Williams of Hartsville and formerly of Smithville passed away Wednesday morning at Sumner Regional Medical Center. He was a Registered Nurse with 40 years of service & was retired from the VA Hospital in Nashville. Mr. Williams was a United States Navy Veteran serving in Vietnam, a member of the American Legion & attend the Methodist church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 1pm from the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Bro. Randall Teat & Ralph Vaughn will officiate. Burial will follow at DeKalb Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation with the family will be Friday, 4-8pm & Saturday, 11am until service time at 1pm. He was preceded in death by parents- Doyal Chester & Gladys Curtis Williams and Step-Father- Warren B. Curtis. Survivors include his wife of 23 years- Willow Dean Givens Williams of Hartsville, 3 Children- Ivie Williams Pulliam of MS, Ashley & John Hearn of LA and Andy and Colby Williams of MS. 1 Step-son- Jason & Leanne Cook of Bethpage. 7 grandchildren & 1 step grand child. Sister- June and Ralph Vaughn of Murfreesboro. Brother- Lenny & Jean Williams of Greenbrier. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to flowers donations can be made to the American Legion in memory of Danny.
