John was the oldest son of William McDaniel Brewer, "Dan" and his wife Ellen.

He had three given names, but was always known as 'Henry.'

He was born in Covington County, AL where his father & mother (and their parents) were living in the vicinity of Rose Hill when they met and later married in the late 1880s. However, by 1900 his parents and their growing family were living in Coffee County, AL where they are on the Federal census for Oldtown & Paul, with four children.

Then Dan & Ellen Brewer moved their family to Santa Rosa County, FL sometime before 1905, where they are found on the 1910 census, and that is where they and many of their children remained, and lived out their lives.

His wife was Lydia Arkansas Barnes (daughter of Henry and Vina Barnes). They had one son, on the 1910 census listed as C.L. Brewer, age 6 years; if anyone further information on his family, please contact me.
