Make yourself familiar with the angels and behold them frequently in spirit: for without being seen, they are present with you. - St. Francis De Sales

AUBURN - Lucille (Bell) Wyse, 72, of Auburn reached the end of her journey on Friday, July 24 at The Hospice House.

She was born on December 28, 1942 in Edmundston, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Herbert and Yvonne (Cyr) Bell.

She attended Edward Little High School, Bliss College and University of Maine.

After a long career in accounting, Lucy retired and enjoyed 5 years traveling cross-country with her husband, Don, in their motorhome making many new friends along the way. Lucy's passions included quilting, stained glass, scrapbooking, and many other crafts. She spent years researching and assembling her family's genealogy and loved pouring over old family photos.

Lucy will be lovingly remembered by her children, Christopher Crockett of Lewiston, Michelle Yonuss and husband Shane of Lewiston, and Brian Lester and wife Andrea of Nashua, NH; three stepsons, Donald Wyse and wife Jennifer of Nahant, MA, Derek Wyse and wife Susan of Newmarket, NH, and Bruce Helmuth of Wales; grandchildren, Brandi, Eric, Raquel, Calla Lily, Aidan, Amelia, Brayden and Levi; and great-granddaughter, Karin; three siblings, Maxine Folsom and husband Frank of Auburn, Kate Bell of Freeport, and Philip Bell and wife Kathleen of Concord, NH; and many nephews and nieces.

Lucy was predeceased by her husband, Donald Wyse and her siblings, Vernon Bell and Colette Aver.

Lucy brought joy and peace to those around her with her sense of humor, genuine spirit, strength and kindness. She gave love simply and freely and gave generously of her time and talents. Recognizing the voice and hands of God in the words and actions of others, she called them her "angels at work." In turn she was an angel for her friends and family and had a calming and warm presence that will be greatly missed.

Condolences may be shared with the family at www.fortingroupauburn.com. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday Aug. 1, at FortinAuburn from 3-6pm with Words of Remembrance at 5:30pm. Interment will be at Center Hill Cemetery in Minot at a later date. Those wishing, in lieu of flowers, may make a charitable contribution in Lucy's memory to: Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, 15 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston, ME 04240. Arrangements are under the care of The Fortin Group Plummer & Merrill Funeral Home, Cremation and Monument Services, 217 Turner St., Auburn, ME. 783-8545.
