He attended Walkerton High School and after graduating from Stratford Normal School taught for a few years in the Riversdale and Chepstow districts.
During WWI he joined the Dental Corp, later graduating from the University of Toronto.
For over fifty years he practiced dentistry at the corner of Pape and Gerrard St., Toronto, retiring three years ago.
His wife predeceased him four years ago. He leaves a family of two sons and five daughters. The deceased was a brother of Mrs Archie Reichenbach of Toronto.
