He married Annie H. Robinson on 26 May 1872 in Sumner, Maine. They had a child:

In 1880 he lived with his wife and son in East Sumner, Maine and worked repairing shoes. In 1900 he was called a farmer. On his death record he is called a carpenter.
He died of heart disease at the age of 59.
