November 2, 1923 - July 20, 2015
Stanley Fowler, born and raised in Arlington and Buckland, VA, died of congestive heart failure on July 20, 2015.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Quincy (CA-71), a heavy cruiser that participated in the bombardment of the coast of Normandy on D-Day. He was an avid golfer, gardener and Redskins fan, and could fix anything with duct tape or WD-40. He served as a Clarendon volunteer fireman and worked for Nabisco for over 30 years.
Stanley is survived by Jeanne, his wife of 68 years, three daughters Maureen Sisti, Michele Jacobson and Melanie Dolan, and four grandchildren, Ashley Sisti and Aaron, Meredith and Tyler Jacobson.
Friends may visit with the family at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm and Friday, July 24, 2015 from 1 to 3 p.m. A service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 9750 Wellington Road, Manassas, VA on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10:30 am. Private interment will take place at Quantico National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
