Charles F. Bellis, Jr. 62, Lawson, died Oct 19, 1993 at Excelsior Springs Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident.
He was born Oct. 3, 1931, the son of Charles Sr. and Juanita (Fuller) Bellis, in Richmond.
He was married to Jean King on June 1, 1955 in Harrisonville, AR.
Mr. Bellis was preceded in death by his wife on May 24, 1990; and a great-grandson, Cody Mace, in November 1990.
Mr. Bellis was a laborer for KCT Elevator-Hylan Seven Cooperative for 10 years, retiring in 1985.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by two sons, Chris Bellis of Wichita, KS and George Bellis, Higginsville, MO; seven daughters, Charlotte Bills, Linda Holtzclaw and Brenda Wheeler of Excelsior Springs, MO; Sandy McCubbin of Lawson, MO; Bobbie Norris and Audrey Bellis of Denver, CO; and Bonnie Fulkerson of Kansas City; his parents, Charles F. and Juanita Bellis of Lawson, MO; one sister, Betty O'Dell of Rayville, MO; 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at the Jarman Chapel, Lawson; burial in Old Union Cemetery, near Lawson.
