Charles Frederick Bellis, 85 of Lawson, died October 9, 1996 at Smithview Manor, Lawson, MO. He was born February 18, 1911 in Richmond; the son of Charles and Mary Belle (Blain) Bellis.

He married Juanita (Fuller) Bellis 01/Nov/1930 at Lexington, MO.. She died June 27, 1994.

He was a lifelong Ray county resident.

Mr. Bellis worked for B.S.B. in Lawson for many years. Later he worked for the city of Excelsior Springs, before retiring in 1973.

He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Bellis, Jr. who died October 19, 1993.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty O'Dell of Rayville, MO; one brother, J.M. Riding of Coos Bay, OR; two sisters, Letha Mitchell of Coos Bay, OR; and Bessie Daugherty of Bandon, OR; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren.

Cremation. Memorial graveside services will be Monday at the Old Union Cemetery, Lawson, MO.
