On October 27, 2010, God in His infinite wisdom sent a chariot for Therris Keels so that He could grant him his wings. Although our family is deeply saddened, we know that the almighty Creator is too wise to make a mistake and too just to do anything wrong.
Therris Lashile Keels was born on September 29, 1980 to Evelyn Wilson Keels and Willie Keels, Sr. of Greeleyville, South Carolina. He attended C. E. Murray High School, Greeleyville, SC.
Therris was a member of the St. John 4-B Baptist Church, Greeleyville, SC., where he joined at a young age. He sang on the Youth Choir while attending St. John.
Therris was an adventurous person set out for a journey that ended to soon. His personality was very mannerable and he had respect for all. He would lend a helping hand to anyone that needed him. Therris’ final days were spent surrounded by family and friends who he had touched in some small way throughout his short, yet memorable life.
Therris’ life would seem to short to many but those who were touched by him would miss him dearly. He possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. Through his courage he was a living testimony that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories.
With Therris’ passing we remind others this his life is one to be celebrated. Although he will be missed, he will forever remain in the hearts of those whom he came in contact with.
Therris will be sadly missed especially by the people who loved him the most: his parents Mr. Willie Edward, Sr. and Mrs. Evelyn Wilson Keels both of Greeleyville, SC; three sisters, Mrs. Claresa Keller (Alie) of Summerville, SC, Ms. Sheka Keels of Greeleyville, SC, and Mrs. Monique Rogers (Mark) of Columbia, SC; three brothers, Mr. Willie Edward Keels, Jr. (Mary) of Spartanburg, SC, Mr. Willie Patterson (Lisa) of Raleigh, NC, and Mr. Terell Keels of Greeleyville, SC; aunts, Mrs. Barbara Bradley (Thaddeus) of Lane, SC, Mrs. Geraldine Wilson and Mrs. Jeanette McCutcheon (Moultrie) both of Brockton, MA, Mrs. Emma Jane Williams, Mrs. Levonne (Rev.
