He was an Electronics Engineer for the U.S. Government for 13 years.
Jerry was a veteran in the U.S. Navy serving in WWI and the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church, the Elks Lodge and the Madera V.F.W. Post #1981.
He is survived by his three sons, Dennis Alviso of San Diego, California, Philip Alviso of Anaheim, California, and Barry Alviso of South Lake Tahoe, California; daughter, Lauren Alviso-Hagar of Murrieta, California; two brothers, Jesse Alviso of Madera, California, and Bob Alviso of Santa Rosa, California; and sister, Evelyn Alviso of Fresno, California.
He was the grandfather of eight, and great-grandfather of three.
Visitation will be held at Jay Chapel in Madera on Tuesday, July 11, 2006, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, July 12, 2006, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon.
A Vigil Service will be held at Jay Chapel in Madera on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Madera.
Remembrances may be made the Madera V.F.W. Post #1981, P.O. Box 908, Madera, Ca 93639.
