Edith White Anderson, 93, of Dinwiddie County, widow of Walter Basil Anderson, passed away Monday, Feb. 10, 2014.

Born in Rocky Mount, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Reuben Hassell and Mary Jane Medford White. She was also preceded in death by her son, (Gerald)Jerry Anderson; a grandson, Jimmie Brown; and two brothers, Wilton and Gilbert White.

A loving and devoted mother, Mrs. Anderson is survived by her daughter, Janet Page Watkins and husband, Lawrence; grandchildren, Pam Cunningham and husband, Edward, Deborah Elliott and husband, John, Stephanie Trexler and husband, Teddy, and Tina Seligman and husband, Jason; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Rebecca Minor; and a special daughter-in-law, Jean Anderson.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at Southlawn Memorial Park. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
