Freddie married Teresa Simmons on June 24, 1974 in Alvord, Texas. He was a mechanic in the oilfield, a member of Live Oak Baptist Church, and #587 Masonic Lodge in Bridgeport. He was a faithful servant for Bethel Baptist then Live Oak Baptist as a deacon.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Aaron and Stephen Pate, brother-in-law Bobby Weatherly and nephew James Lee.
Among those who will cherish his memory include his wife Teresa of Jacksboro, his daughter Treva Renae Dutter of Wichita Falls, his son Fred Franklin "Levi" Pate and wife Nicole of Abilene, Texas; mother-in-law Treva June Simmons; sister Linda Tammen and husband Bill of Petrolia, sister Kathy Weatherly of Washington, sister Mary Murphy and husband David of Forestburg, brother David Pate of Cottondale, brother Jeff Pate and wife Cammie; grandchildren Shelley Sharp, Madilynn Dutter, Landry Pate, Logan Pate, Leeam Pate, many other extended family members that loved and respected him.
