Final rites were held for David Delary Catlin, 73, in the Cedarville Community Church with the Rev. Bob Ropp of Alturas giving the service. Burial was in the Cedarville Cemetery.

David Delary Catlin was born December 30, 1899 to George and Eliza Catlin in Lake City. He was the youngest of five children, all but one, Al Catlin of Salt Lake City, Utah, have preceded him in death. One son Richard passed away July 11, 1966.

Mr Catlin passed away July 7, 1973 while at work. His body was not discovered until the following morning. He had worked as a ranch hand in Surprise Valley and in Oregon all of his life and at the time of his death he was employed at the Waldo Warrens ranch where he had worked for a number of years.

Mr. Catlin leaves to mourn his passing one brother Al Catlin of Salt Lake City, Utah; one daughter Mrs. Elizabeth Carter of Pinole California; and two sons Elwin Catlin of Pleasant Hill, Oregon and Stanley Catlin of Alturas, California; and eleven grandchildren.

Relatives in Cedarville from a distance for Mr. Catlin's funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Al Catlin of Salt Lake City, Utah and Mrs. Catlin's daughter and husband of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Carter and three children of Pinole, California, and Elwin Catlin and son of Pleasant Hill, Oregon.
