Mrs. Sara J. Owens age 78, wife of the late Ernest D. Owens of Nichols Hwy. passed away April 15, 2015 at Conway Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Owens was born March 20, 1937 a daughter of the late James Rembert and Fannie Gerald Jenerette. She was a member of Gethesemane Baptist Church, and was predeceased by one grandson, O'Neal Hardwick and two brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Owens was a joyous giver to many different charities. Surviving Mrs. Owens are one son, Randy Owens, one daughter, Rita Hardwick, two grandchildren, April Anderson (Tom), Julie Clardy (Michael), five grandchildren, Caroline Anderson, Thomas J. Anderson, Isaiah Clardy, Laura Ellen Clardy, Vivien Clardy, one brother, Hilton Jenerette (Essie), and two sisters, Jean Grant (Bill), and Janet Graham. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM Saturday April 18, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor. A graveside service will be held 4:00 PM Sunday April 19, 2015 at Rehobeth United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mrs. Owens memory to Gethesemane Baptist Church, 4461 Nichols Hwy, Galivants Ferry SC, 29544 or to Union United Methodist Church "Clardy Adoption" 4491 Hwy. 701 South Conway, SC 29527.
