Evalina Aiken Sanders, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 26, 2015.

A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Lois Raines Aiken. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Anita Sanders.

Evalina was a member of the Rosman Baptist Tabernacle. She was a great cook. She adored her family and enjoyed creating special memory books for her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of 57 years; Mark Austin Sanders, son; Mark Steven Sanders of Spotsylvania, VA, daughters; Karen Renita Hall and husband Phillip of Rock Hill, SC, Laura Juanita Bethune and husband Calvin of Vass, NC and Tina Michelle Weathersby and husband Chad of Whispering Pines, NC, brothers; Lester, Dewey and Leogy Aiken; sisters; Hazel McCall and Edith Chappell, grandchildren; Mallory, Zachary and Bethany Sanders, Hannah Bethune, Ty Hall, Courtney and John Weathersby.

Funeral services will be held 2pm, Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Rosman Baptist Tabernacle. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2pm at the church. Burial will follow in the Middlefork Baptist Church Cemetery.
