Pearl was born February 21, 1928 in Deer Park WI, the daughter of Irwin and Freda (Moll) Fouks. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Pearl attended the Edgewood School of rural Deer Park, and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1947. Pearl would be united in marriage to LeRoy Hilmanowske, the son of John and Josie, on December 3, 1947. They resided in the Baldwin area all of their married life.
She worked in the office of Central Livestock in South St. Paul until she married. Pearl also worked for 10 years at Rosen's, 25 years at CTS & Fabritec, and was one of the first ward secretary's at the Baldwin Hospital. After retiring in 1991, she and LeRoy spent winters in Apache Junction AZ. Pearl loved the outdoors, where she spent much of her time fishing. Pearl was a Green Bay Packers fan who enjoyed camping, baking, gardening, yard work, sewing, shopping, and playing cards, especially euchre and 500. Pearl also served as a board member of the Baldwin Senior Center.
Pearl is survived by her children, Diane (Len) Triebold, Delores (Allen) Hansen, Richard (Ann) Hilmanowske, and Ruth (Nolan) Anderson; grandchildren, Kurt Anderson, Scott (Stacey) Hilmanowske, Amy (Paul) Gunsallus, Matt (Tobie) Anderson, Brad (Alison) Triebold, Hally (Glenn) Waltz, Nick Hansen, and Tracy Anderson; great-grandchildren, Alex and Trevor Anderson, Jake and Evan Hilmanowske, Kourtney and Braeden Gunsallus, and Hannah and Blake Triebold, and Ella Mae Waltz; brothers James (Linda) Fouks, and LaVerne Fouks; sister-in-law, Dorothy Fouks; as well as many other relatives and friends. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; parents and parents-in-law; sister Berdean Batterson; and brother, Douglas Fouks.
Funeral Services for Pearl Hilmanowske will be held at 11:00am on Friday, April 19th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2528 80th Avenue, Woodville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with her grandchildren serving as her casketbearers. Visitation will be held at church from 4:00-7:00pm on Thursday evening, and one hour prior to services on Friday.
