Burial will be in Church Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A native of Christian County, he was born July 14, 1955, the son of Mary Elizabeth Turnley Cruite, Hopkinsville and the late Prentice Cruite Sr.
[Prentice] was a roofer who had worked for Swifty Roofing Co., Paducah, and was a member of the Church Hill Baptist Church in Pee Dee.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Esterline Ware Cruite; three daughters, Nattaten Carter and LaFonda Avery, both of Killeen, Texas, AnnJeanette Wharton, Hopkinsville; two brothers, the Rev. George Cruite and Lonnie Cruite, both of Hopkinsville; three sisters, Teresa Bussell, Linda Cruite, Melissa McGee, all of Hopkinsville and six grandchildren.
