Jan Seczewski was born on March 18, 1887, in Tsibule, Cherkasy, Ukraine (also known as Cybulow, Keiv, Russia - before WWI). Jan Seczewski is the son of Margaret and John. Jan arrived in the US in 1907. Once he was here in the US for a few years, Jan Seczewski changed his name to Henry John Biston. He married Viola Agnes Mae Barnes on December 8, 1917, in Cuyahoga, Ohio. They had six children in 14 years. He died on May 8, 1954, in Pasco, Florida, at the age of 67, and was buried in Zephyrhills, Florida.
