Age 84, of Marengo passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
She was born August 31, 1930 in Dunham Township to Walter and Anna (Murphy) Busse. She graduated from Harvard High School in 1948. On February 27, 1960 she married Donald Koplin in Marengo.
Evelyn retired from Harris Bank in Marengo in 1995. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Marengo where she was also a member of the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1461 Belvidere and Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 77 Belvidere.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 2010; her parents; her sister, Darlene; an infant brother; her father and mother-in-law, Erwin and Frances Koplin; sisters-in-law, Berniece Busse, Lucille Boettcher and Shirley Osterberg; and brothers-in-law, Wilbert Boettcher and Kenneth Osterberg.
