Bruce David Enke, 54, of Jackson, Missouri passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at his home.

He was born May 27, 1960 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Walter and Mae Enke.

He was raised in East Cape Girardeau, Illinois and was a graduate of Shawnee High School. Bruce later moved to Texas where he lived for 27 years while raising his beloved family. In recent years, he returned to his native home of Missouri where he lived out the remainder of his life bringing joy to those around him.

Survivors include :

Daughter - Erin (Wilson) Stokes of San Angelo, Texas

Son - Tyler Enke, SPC Specialist, U.S. Army of Georgetown, Texas

Mother, Mae Enke, Jackson, Missouri

Sister, Brenda Bowen of Jackson, Missouri

Brother, Brad (Donna) Enke of St. Louis, Missouri

Several loved nieces and his partner, Debra Choate of Jackson, Missouri

He was preceded in death by his father.

Bruce embraced all outdoor activities, especially hunting. He was an avid sports fan who particularly shared a passion for his Texas Longhorns and St. Louis Cardinals. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children, who undeniably filled his heart with so much pride and unconditional love. He had an infectious spirit, a kind soul, and was a wonderful conversationalist. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, 1001 N. Mt. Auburn Road in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM Thursday at the funeral home in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Mike Coleman officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be given to the non-profit organization, Hunters Helping Soldiers. .
