Elizabeth Ann Watson Hudson, 51, of Suwanee, Ga., died June 3, 2015. She was a Floral Designer with A Divine Event in Norcross, Ga.
She is survived by her husband, John Evans Hudson of Suwanee, Ga.; her brother, Randy Widner of Port Orange; cousins, Lynn Brashears (Tom) of Kingsport, Tenn.; Kim Jaynes (Marty) of Johnson City, Tenn.; cousins, Laura Faye and Mary Ann Watson, both of Sanford, Fla.; and extended family. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Paul David Watson and Billie Jo Watson of Port Orange.
She was born in Daytona Beach on September 22, 1963, and grew up in the greater Daytona area. During her child and teenage years she loved to sort and grade tomatoes at her family's business, Watson's Produce. Grocery stores in Florida in the 1960's sold "Elizabeth Ann" brand tomatoes, named for her and packaged by Watson's Produce.
She graduated from Spruce Creek High School, then earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., where she was a member of Delta Zeta sorority. Elizabeth moved to the Atlanta area in 1987 following her marriage to John. She was an active member of the music ministry at Johns Creek Baptist Church for 28 years. Elizabeth was best known for her ever-present smile which church members were privileged to see in the choir loft every week. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of seeing her smile, and hearing her sing.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9th at Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, with Rev. Paul Pollock officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations, in memory of Elizabeth Hudson, be made to the missions offering of Covenant United Methodist Church, Port Orange.
