Myrle was born on April 2, 1925, in Ozark, Ala. She and her 12 brothers and sisters grew up in or around the vicinity of Newton, Ala. She met and married Randall Blair Scharmen in San Antonio, Texas, in September 1949. They moved to Fort Walton Beach in 1952, where they remained to this day.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall, who passed away in 1987. She is survived by three loving sons, Guy Patrick, Gary Rex and Cory Clay Scharmen. She is blessed with 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was a caring spouse, mother and grandmother. Maw Maw will be deeply missed by her loving family.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., followed by a service from 3 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at McLaughlin Mortuary, 17 Chestnut Ave. S.E., Fort Walton Beach.
A graveside service and dedication will be held on Monday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
