From 9 January 1942 Lewiston Daily Sun obituary. CANTON - Mrs. Annie Jane Bragg, Gilbertville, widow of Ernest Bragg, died Monday {January 5} night at her late home. She was born in Nova Scotia, June 30, 1869, the daughter of Charlotte and William West. When ten years old she came to Boston, Mass., and later to Augusta, Maine, where she married Mr. Bragg. They moved to Hartford in 1919. She was a member of the Auburn Baptist Church. She had been ill about two months. She is survived by eight children: Mrs. Lottie Grant, Leeds; Ernest Jr., Augusta; Frank and Raymond Bragg and Mrs. Emma Childs, Hartford; Harry Bragg, Sumner; Miss Clara Bragg, South Portland, and Mrs. Alice Sampson, Canton; twenty grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one brother, William West, Hartford; and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Briggs, Mechanic Falls, and Mrs. Ella Barrett, Auburn, Mass.
