Samuel Tilden Webb was believed to have been named after Presidential Candidate Samuel Tilden. His Grandfather, Samuel S. Webb was a Confederate soldier who died in a military hospital in or around Richmond,Virginia in 1864.
His first marriage produced several children.
His second marriage to Lizzie Lee Lyons, produced two children - Sammie Lee Webb Brown, born on June 29, 1936 and who passed away on February 26, 2013 and Donald Wayne Webb on June 29, 1944.
He was a farmer, and was known for his quiet demeanor. He was a Christian and the funeral was held in the Corinth Baptist Church at Lee, Florida on or about January 9, 1945. Interment was made at Corinth Primitive Baptist Cemetery at Lee, Florida.
