Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in United Baptist Church with the Rev. David Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial. Arrangements are by Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview.
Mrs. Compton was born April 1, 1944, in Big Hill to Leslie Leon and Louise Williams Ray. She married Willie Jaycee Compton on April 20, 1973, in Plainview.
Survivors include three sons, Justin Compton of Plainview, Jonathon Compton of Lexington, Neb., and Tony Wagner of Lubbock; three daughters, Barbara Phelps of Phoenix, Ariz., and Tonja Ray and Natasha Compton, both of Plainview; three sisters, Janice Hall and Sue Turner, both of Plainview, and Ora Harris of Odessa; three brothers, Kurtis Ray of Dallas, Allen Ray of Plainview and Mack Ray of Midland; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
