ASHEVILLE - Barbara J. Abbott, 51, died Friday, April 12, 2002, at Solace Hospice Center. Mrs. Abbott was born June 10, 1950, in Dade County, Fla. and was a resident of Asheville for the past 10 years. She had previously lived in Jacksonville, Fla. She was a former technician in medical records. Barbara was the daughter of Harry M. Miller of Quincy, Fla., and the late Barbara F. Miller, who died in 1990. Surviving in addition to her father, is her husband, William R. Abbott daughter, Jennifer Abbott of the home son, Justin Abbott of Greenville, S.C. sister, Judith Miller of Asheville and grandchildren, Brandon, Jonathan and Alexandria. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2002, in the Chapel of West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
