Deceased was born in York county, Spring Garden township, Pennsylvania, June 2 1810, and moved to Payson in this county in 1854, where he resided until the year 1890, when he moved to Liberty, where he has since lived.
He became a member of the Lutheran church in his youth, and had been a consistent member ever since. Four sons and five daughters are left to grieve for him. He was well known, and well thought of by many friends.
