There is no proof thus far who Edmund's parents are, but there is strong evidence to suggest that they were Laban and Sophia Shipp Sebree. Edmund was the fourth of eight children born more than likely in Woodford County, Kentucky. Edmund and several other siblings migrated to Missouri as young adults. Upon arriving in Clay County, Missouri Edmund and his brother Laban were tailors by trade and purchased a business together.
Edmund married Lutitia Dudley Capps in Clay County, Missouri, April 26, 1838. Edmund and Lutitia were blessed with nine children. Lutitia passed away shortly after the birth of her last child in 1854.
Edmund struggled to keep his family together after the lose of his wife. James, the baby went to live with Lutitia's sister and husband.
Edmund remarried a younger woman named Catherine Phillips, and moved his family to Leavenworth County, Kansas. He and Catherine had two boys and not long after the birth of the second son Catherine dies. After her passing the two boys go to live with Catherine's parents.
Edmund marries again a woman names Rosa. In about 1888 they move to Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri. Edmund's two daughters are living in Joplin as well. Edmund resides here until his death in 1902.
