She was born April 12, 1929, in Elliot County, Ky., the daughter of Sherman and Agnes Johnson Cline, who survive.
A resident here 27 years, Mrs. Carpenter was employed by Rider Services as a matron at the Niles Bank Co.
She was a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Church.
Besides her parents of Niles, she leaves her husband, Leroy Carpenter, whom she married in 1949; tow sons, James at home, Robert of Niles, a daughter, Mrs. Don (Donna Jean) Mayer of Cortland; a grandson; a brother, Thomas Cline of Niles, four sisters, Mrs. Leonard (Pauline) Humphrey of Mineral Ridge, Mrs. Forest (Faye) Campbell, Mrs. William (Evelyn) Bouts and Mrs. Charles (Ruth Ann) Green, all of Niles.
Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Apostolic Pentecostal Church. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home this evening and Friday evening.
